Sheaffer told me to

title this post "Sheaffer told me to" and since we all know how bossy she is...I obeyed;) When she did a post a few weeks ago, it contained two of the outfits I had planned to do for this pinspired linkup and I told her that between her and Mel, I would look like a copy cat and that's when she jokingly replied "haha call it Sheaffer told you to" and here we are.

Anyways...I did have more than one outfit, but I decided last minute to change my look up three different ways before deciding which exact way I wanted to wear it. Shoes change your life look in 2.5 seconds

I didn't wear a skirt and instead went with denim skinnies. and since my top had a bow, I decided to forgo a necklace.

First up was with these navy/white shoes I got last year. Maybe one of my favorite pairs of shoes. They came from...Payless.

Next up was my newest pair of shoes, Guess brand that I got for $29 at Ross last week. and brace yourselves for sadness...they incurred a fateful meeting with a cobblestone street. They may not recover. The horror. (dear Mr. Cobbler, please save them, please?)

This is in a happier time, before champagne and bourbon forged together to bring about their tragic demise.(cobblestone streets and 5 inch stilettos are no match for champagne) I am still bemoaning my plight a week later:( I am so sorry, guys. I wasn't a good owner in our short time together  I promise to be better.

Since this was last Friday and Raleigh was prepping for snow, I decided to don these boots for my flight.(and change into my new shoes once there) We should probably not dwell on the fact that I was in a hurry and needed socks and in my rush thought "who cares if they match, they're hidden under boots"  and really...nobody did care, except for the hundred or so people in the security line at the airport. Failure people, failure. I got some laughs and a few smirks. Hey, someone has to be the entertainment.

and do you guys recognize my nemesis? This is the creepiest owl ever and is a slight point of contention in my house. I took a picture with it before I got on the plane and told Nicole I was bringing her a gift;) haha

her response was a point blank "NO, you keep that owl at your house"

Can't blame a girl for trying;)

I am a fan of this color combo and am surprised I never saw fit to match these pieces up before spying this outfit on pinterest last year. I normally wear the striped top w/a red blazer and red heels. Love it.

This was fun, thanks for the link up ladies. I already know what I am planning for next month. I am keeping an eye out that you ladies don't get there first again...tisk tisk
