Friday Comes Again

Dear Friday...I rarely say this, but...you came too quickly this week! I have stuff I need to do before going out of town. Dear Sprint...Please stop hiring people who tell lies as easily as they breathe. Dear Weather...I am really, really over you. Dear Luke Bryan...Ummm, thank you for being born. Dear Self...Champagne, 5 inch stilettos and cobblestone streets make for a less than stellar combination.

High five that my nephew turns 12 this weekend and we are heading to Virginia to celebrate him and hoping the Niners win the big game.

Busted out the boots for Luke Bryan

enjoyed this view on my jaunt to Florida

Mr. Bryan, looking rather dashing, if I do say so myself.

This is my brother, his wife and my three nephews. Since I saw Florida Georgia Line last week and she adores their song, Cruise...I made this for her.

My friend Liz's mom was standing in her foyer last week when a stolen police car rammed through the house, knocking her out. She was air lifted to a near by hospital and for a while it was touch and go. She had a few surgeries and came home in one week.
High five, Jesus!
and a big ole happy!
Jackson insisting that "he is big boy, I eat like Mommy" and using his chop sticks to stab every single piece of lettuce...but he did eat w/chop sticks, which means he one upped me. Score one for J.

For the past 11 years I have worked part time in the sports info department at Duke. This was my view from press row this week. Go Devils Go;)
We won, happy!

and this last picture...it is of someone's board on pinterest that they titled "awful food found on pinterest" and that 2nd picture folks, well...that is the most popular recipe on my blog. Well over 6000 page views and everyday it gets lotsa pins and repins. When I first saw this, admittedly  I was slightly affronted. and then, I got over it. Let's be real, how angry can you stay when someone calls you "neurotic and says you dance around your crockpot in the dark, w/lit candles and a sage smudge" oh, and that you participate in "the religion of crockpot" hahaha the best part is I almost always make this on the stove top, except when it's for gatherings and I am gonna stand behind my crockpot voodoo.

High five for not giving a jack you know what;)
this started out crappy, then got semi happy.

Really...my only major crappy is my poor new shoes. Sadness in my heart.

  1. That is so rude that your recipe is on that board I would be really offended too. To be honest some of my currys dont look very appetising but they taste bloody damn delicious and thats all that matters! Hope you have a fab weekend x
